A big welcome to our company, Scotts Contract Services Ltd, and our company profile.
We hope that reading this will give you an upfront and honest view into us as a company, our solid and positive mission and how, as people, we can help make your life run more smoothly and efficiently in whichever specific service you require from us.
Scotts Contract Services started way back in 1990, when founders – husband and wife team Roger and Sally Scott – took on their first cleaning contract in Portsmouth.
Sally still gets excited now about seeing the old hand written company books from that time! Very quickly Roger and Sally grew their reputation for being thorough, efficient and extremely responsive. Their natural instincts worked well with this and they quickly learnt that this is exactly how to make Property Managers’ and residents’ lives happier and less stressful… yes, less stress can exist in business, although we certainly understand that this is a difficult thing to comprehend at times!
The company grew quickly, with them also moving into the landscape maintenance side of things. This, of course, opened up a whole new field of opportunity and interest, and has helped lead the way to our ever growing repertoire of services we provide across residential and commercial properties, including office parks, industrial parks, etc.
These services include rubbish clearance, licensed weed control, carpet cleaning, window cleaning and the facilitation of works such as fencing, block paving, and more. With the addition of all these services, we have never lost sight of who we are, and what it means to be in business – maintaining the ethos of cost effective, thorough efficiency, with a proactive mindset, helping to ease the need for reaction to problems which could and should be solved in the smoothest manner possible.
We are proud to be a family business, with Roger and Sally’s two sons, Lee and Matthew, playing a role in all aspects of the business for the last twenty years; and they will certainly continue to be involved to see the steady growth continue.
We are also proud to keep that family atmosphere running through all our staff members; employing just under thirty people now, some of whom have been with us for well over ten years, some pushing twenty. We understand their concerns and needs, and their loyalty in us is certainly reciprocated.
With all the economic ups and downs since 1990, it is most certainly satisfying to know that we have continued to grow steadily and surely through all these times. That must be a sign we’re doing something right!
We currently work with over fifty companies across the south of England, ranging from our base in Portsmouth, west across to Dorset, east along to East Sussex, up to the M25 corridor and all of the counties across and in between.
To add to this, we are continually looking to expand, so we are always more than happy to look at any good opportunity outside of our current boundaries. In fact, when asked the question, “What are your boundaries?” although we currently have areas in which we work, there is no true set boundary if the right opportunity comes along!
We have had the pleasure of working with a multitude of individuals and Management Companies over the years. We have grown together with many of these people and businesses, learning about the individuals that work there; bonding loyal partnerships and relationships. In fact, for your perusal, to the right of this page we have taken the liberty of adding a few of their comments about us.
